When should a foal be started under a grooming program?

Traditionally, we recommend having a new foal examined within the first week after birth.  Though  corrective measures are rarely taken at this stage, it can provide some strong indications towards potential bone, joint, and hoof problems developing at an early age.

Beyond corrective trimming and alignment, is there anything that I can do to help the development of my foal?

Besides traditional measures to ensure the safety of your horse, regular use of protective boots and often nutrition can play a key role through the development stages.

How long does the process take?

Each case is different, so the individual process and terms of treatment will vary from one to the next.

That said, a typical trim/and alignment will generally take about 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Overall treatment time is dependent on the nature and severity of any corrective treatment.
